January 26, 2021

Creating unique original content tends to be a struggle for the vast majority of website owners who want to market their product or service online. In this article, I’ll share some of my strategies for generation loads of content, even on a tight budget.

First, it is important to recognize that content is “KING” when it comes to marketing online. Unique “original” content is what Google says it wants however there are ways of repurposing existing content to generate traffic to your website. But, I’m getting ahead of myself.

What is content marketing?

Content marketing is a strategic marketing approach focused on creating and distributing valuable, relevant, and consistent content to attract and retain a clearly-defined audience — and, ultimately, to drive profitable customer action.

Content comes in many forms. Below are 10 typical content channels that are used to create and distribute content.

  • Articles (submissions to article directories)
  • Blog posts (your own site and guest posting)
  • Document Sharing (PDF,
  • PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Video (YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion)
  • Audio (podcasts)
  • Images ( think Flickr, Photobucket, Postimage.org)
  • Social Media (Twitter, Facebook Pages, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube)
  • Software (bundle your message in a downloadable file)
  • Apps (Android, iPhone)
  • RSS Feeds (Really Simple Syndication)

The big idea behind content marketing is to get your message out!

Basically, what we’re talking about is the art of communicating with your customers and prospects without selling. It is non-interruption marketing. Instead of pitching your products or services, you are delivering information that makes your buyer more intelligent.

The essence of this content strategy is the belief that if we, as businesses, deliver consistent, ongoing valuable information to buyers, they ultimately reward us with their business and loyalty.

If you can syndicate that message in as many places as possible, (where your target audience can be found or where they hang out) you’ll be even more successful.

Useful content should be at the core of your marketing.

For content marketing to be effective, what’s needed is a Strategy.
